Go to the right from the exit, then go to the left before you run into the huntress and Gammothra will be roaming in a pool in a big open room. He is fairly easy without it, only hits for about on plate gear as ret. Very fun, and very easy, which eventually leads to this quest. Comment by marshala It seems as though if you shrink the elites, you shrink their rewards. I killed 6 shrunken magnataurs, and the average drop was 10s.

I killed 6 full size magnataurs, and the average drop was 50s. OK, you're not going to make millions, and this is hardly a scientific test under laboratory conditions! Just passing on my findings. Comment by BoJanglesJingles Getting to this guy is such a hassle to a point where it's not even worth doing this. Comment by MarkKehn If you are new and doing this quest for the first time or if you have returned to the game after years away and doing it on a fresh alt you can weaken the big guys on the way down to your quest mob.

The quest item will be in your quest tracker at this point. When you get to your quest mob and use the item on him the quest item is removed from the quest tracker. I was going to work my way out so I pulled one of the big guys blocking my path before I realized the item was no longer in my quest tracker! Too late now, I had to run and turn on my invisibility to save myself. Then I hearthed out when the coast was clear. It wasn't until I was out that I realized the quest item still existed and could have been used, but you need to use it from your bags or put it on your action bar after the main quest mob is killed.
