Exceptionalism is a fleeting quality. If we do not practice what brought us to this point, exceptionalism will dis-appear.

Family values, morals, integerity, respect are all deminishing. The cycle has already begun. The God fearing individuals still will not parish. America is exceptional and unique as a result of its respect for property rights and recognition of the importance of individual freedom. Nearly everything we do is motivated by self interest broadly understood. We learn from childhood that successful interaction and trade between and with others requires that we must abide by certain abstract rules of behavior… self- restraint.

Our Founders crafted a social contract that had as its primary objective the preservation of Natural Rights. New ideas laws for governance and new rules laws affecting commerce should be tested by the many and diverse states. If we are free to move from state to state in search of the rules and opportunities jobs!

This dichotomy or synergy between governance that preserves Natural Rights and free markets that achieve opportunity and prosperity by adhering to Natural Law seems to be lost on our Ruling Class, including many highly educated economists.
